Furniture Today market research worked with Easy Analytic Software Inc. (EASI) to develop sales estimates and projections for 19 specific products for 2012 and projections for 2017 for each of the nation's 942 Metropolitan areas. Each report also provides state-level and county data for the product. 2012 sales estimates for each product category were developed by Furniture Today market research based on data available through October 2012 and are subject to revision as additional data become available. Current estimates are based on information from the Department of Commerce, the International Trade Commission, sales estimates from manufacturers and retailers, Furniture Today's Consumer Buying Trends Survey, Upholstery and Case Goods Style surveys, the Furniture Store Performance Report and discussions with industry executives and analysts.

It took a while to get here, but 2011 was the year big retail survivors of the credit crunch and a drawn-out industry recession saw sales momentum building, thanks in part to a vital bedding segment and a group of lifestyle retailers on the march. Furniture, bedding and accessories sales for Furniture/ Today's Top 100 U.S. Furniture Stores increased for the second year in a row - this time by 6.4% to $28.4 billion. What's more, the store count for the Top 100 registered its first increase since a small gain in the 2009 report. The combined store count for this year's companies grew by 1.3%, or 115 units, to 8,684 stores. details >>

Furniture Today's ranking of the Top 15 Bedding Producers ranks companies according to 2011 U.S. wholesale bedding shipments. Returns, as well as shipments to Puerto Rico are excluded. Contract shipments are included in figures. Adjustments, including sales allowances and incentives, are also included and are reported in the notes when available. details >>
Furniture Today's Top 20 Furniture Sources for U.S. Market - 2012
This exclusive report ranks companies according to 2011 furniture shipments to the U.S. Sources on the list must sell into the U.S. market, regardless of whether they have manufacturing, assembling operations or corporate offices in the U.S. Non-furniture and non-manufacturing revenues, such as investment income and retail revenues, are excluded for purposes of the ranking.
