Kids Today Mom Bloggers, 2013 , Today's moms are finding new products and gaining parenting advice from online blogs. Instead of perusing page after page of parenting books, moms are turning on their smartphones and laptops and reading their favorite blogs.

Kids Today Youth furniture report , This three-page exclusive report presents consumer buying trend data on youth furniture, metro market youth sales data and retail furniture store data on youth furniture styles and price points.This year, 3.7 million U.S. households say they’ll buy youth bedroom furniture. In 2012, 5.1 million consumer households shopped for youth product and 57% of shoppers, 3.6 million, actually purchased and spent $5 billion at retail. Those top-line figures derive from Kids Today's 2013 Consumer Buying Trends Survey. The exclusive, nationally- representative survey asked 3,000 U.S. households what furniture they bought in 2012, how much they spent and what they plan to buy in 2013.

Kids Today Moms Online Report, 2013 , While only 7% of moms bought infant and youth furniture online in the last 12 months; 83% and 84% respectively would consider buying furniture online in the next year, according to data from Kids Today's exclusive survey with Newton, Mass.-based Mom Central Consulting.

Kids Today Hispanics Report, 2013 , Hispanics in the United States are the fastest-growing population group with 43% growth from 2000 to 2010, according to the most recent Census data. In 2000, the Hispanic share of the total U.S. population was 12.5% and in 2010 the Hispanic share jumped to 16.3% of the total population.

Moms and Gear Products, 2012 , Seven out of 10 moms enjoy shopping for children's gear. As a 30-year-old from Ohio states, "There are always new products to fall in love with. I'm still finding great, functional baby gear products that I love." A 45-year-old from North Carolina loves gear because she relishes having "convenient things" for her child. And, "the variety and color in baby gear" excites a 30-year-old mom from California. Kids Today partnered with Newton, Mass.-based Mom Central Consulting in May 2012 to ask moms about infant furniture, youth furniture and infant gear products, as well as where they shop, how they research products and how they feel about shopping for children's home furnishings.

Moms and Youth Furniture, 2012 , The moms responding to Kids Today and Mom Central Consulting's exclusive survey explain why in their own words. A 36-year-old from North Carolina gets "as excited as the kids do about new furniture, wall colors and accessories." A 31-year-old from Minnesota explains that it’s "just a lot of fun to do, looking at all the styles and imagining the ideas of the room." Youth shopping provides "quality time with the kids" for a 42-year-old mom from Vermont.

Moms and Infant Furniture, 2012 , Half of mothers love to shop for infant furniture and another 21% like to. Reasons why include that it's relaxing, is fun to do and it makes them feel good. The designing and redecorating aspect of shopping is also appealing to many moms as they strive to create a certain look for their children's space.

Kids Today Affluents Report, 2012 , The 2011 U.S. Department of Agriculture's Expenditures on Children by Families study reported the total cost of raising a child from birth to age 17, for affluent families is now $389,670, compared with $234,900 for households in the middle-income group and $169,080 for households in the lowest-income group.

Kids Today Millennials Report, 2012 , The Millennials are defined as the generation born between 1981 and 2000 and were the first generation to reach the age of 18 in the new millennium. They're diverse, educated and tech savvy. Despite the economic conditions for this group, they remain an important target for the youth furniture category.

Kids Today Birth Statistics Report, 2012 , The 2010 preliminary number of U.S. births declined 3.2% to 4 million from 2009, when the total number of U.S. births was 4.1 million, according to the National Center for Health Statistics.
